Missie H2 en TeamNL geven positieve energie aan de energietransitie. Concreet is het doel van de missie om samen met de overheid en een groot aantal Nederlandse bedrijven in de zomer van 2024, tijdens de Olympische en Paralympische Spelen in Parijs, een miniketen gerealiseerd te hebben die leidt tot een volledig functionerende waterstofmarkt in 2030. By doing so, we enable the delivery of products that are vital to our economy and daily lives, ranging from chemicals, oils, gases, and LNG to biofuels and vegoils.
Shaping the future
Vopak is developing new infrastructure solutions to actively contribute to the introduction of future vital products, focusing on hydrogen (ammonia, liquid hydrogen and LOHC) as well as CO2 infrastructure, sustainable feedstocks, and long-duration energy storage.
Vopak will accelerate its portfolio investments towards the new energies and sustainable feedstocks by allocating EUR 1 billion in growth capital to these activities by 2030. This will not only shape the future of Vopak, but also positively contribute to the transition within key industrial clusters and shaping of the energy hubs of the future. The share of zero-carbon and low-carbon energy and sustainable feedstocks at Vopak's existing locations will be increased and new infrastructure for the introduction of the vital products of the future will be developed. Those terminals within the Vopak network that store traditional fuels and feedstocks will be well positioned to handle low carbon substitutes.
